Disabled sports are becoming more popular, which is great news for people with disabilities. It’s awesome that more and more of them can now enjoy the thrill of skiing. With us, skiing becomes a very special experience, even for those with disabilities.
For most people, skiing gives them a feeling of freedom that’s a nice break from everyday life (which can be tough sometimes).
Everything you need to know for your ski course
Please bring your reservation confirmation to our office to pick up your course tickets and to receive information about meeting points with your ski or snowboard instructor.
Your booking confirmation is NOT valid as a course ticket.
You do NOT need to print out the confirmation and bring it with you in paper form.
NO – you can also show your booking confirmation on your smartphone.
Please bring your reservation / booking-confirmation to our office to receive your course tickets and information about meeting points with your ski or snowboard instructor. If you reserved your course via email, you must also pay for it on site.
Of course, on-site bookings are possible. However, we cannot guarantee that all our courses will be available on site.
We recommend making a reservation or booking in advance.
All of our ski and snowboard instructors speak GERMAN and ENGLISH.
However, we also offer lessons in other languages, such as Russian, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Dutch, and Danish. If you would prefer an instructor who speaks a specific language, please contact us in advance by email or phone. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that in group courses, we cannot guarantee that the instructor will speak a language other than German or English.
If you must interrupt your course or lessons prematurely for health reasons, or if you are unable to attend at all, we require a medical certificate from a local doctor. If you cannot travel to Gastein for health reasons, we require a medical certificate from a doctor of your choice and a cancellation confirmation from your accommodation provider.
The earlier, the better. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the peak holiday seasons. You can book all courses and private lessons in our online shop, or reserve them via email or phone.
NO — the ski pass (lift ticket) is not included in the course and lesson prices. Details on ski pass (lift ticket) conditions can be found on the Gasteiner Bergbahnen website or at Ski amadé.
Whether or not you need a lift ticket depends on your skill level and age. Children up to six years of age generally do not need a lift ticket and receive a free keycard at the mountain railway ticket shop. Complete beginners, whether children aged seven or older or adults, do not need a ski pass at first. Our ski school’s beginner practice area is available to you free of charge. The ski instructors will let you know in good time when a lift ticket is required. This is usually the case from the second or third day.
Anyone with some experience skiing or snowboarding will need a lift ticket from the first day.

NO – ski equipment is not included in the course and lesson prices. In cooperation with Berglift ski rental, you will receive a 10% discount on rental equipment when booking private lessons. For children, we offer discounted packages (lessons + rental equipment) for courses lasting 5 days or more.
From the first day of lessons. This also applies to toddlers in “Bambini on Skis” and all children’s courses.
NO – You will receive your course tickets on site at our ski school office.
YES – As a family, you are welcome to book our ski exchange. However, please note that in our experience, a family course is not as effective as separate lessons for children and adults. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone.
Up to 45 days before the course starts. You will receive a 5% early bird discount on any booking made 45 days before the course starts via our online shop.
YES – we also offer ski lessons for people with disabilities. Please contact us directly via email or phone. Working with people with disabilities is important to us. We have introduced many individuals with various physical and mental disabilities to skiing. We would love to help you reach your goals, too.
