FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should we keep in mind before the course starts?
Please come to our office the day before or at least 30 minutes before the course starts with your reservation/booking confirmation to collect the course ticket, safety vest, and information about the meeting point.
How many children are in a group?
Max. 8 children – The care and quality of instruction are our highest priorities. With our exclusive small groups, we strive to optimally support the children in their learning process.
At what age can children join the ski course?
From 5 years: full-day course – Juniors on Skis
From 13 years: full-day course – Teens on Skis Unlimited
When do children need ski equipment?
From the first day of the course.
Where does the course take place?
Depending on the skill level – in the practice area or on the mountain.

BEGINNERS start in the free ski school practice area – “Skiwiese” – next to the Schlossalmbahn valley station, so no lift ticket is needed initially. As soon as they are ready to go up the mountain, a lift ticket is required. The group instructor will inform you the day before.

ADVANCED skiers – those who skied on the mountain last year – usually return to the mountain from the first course day.
How does lunch supervision work?
Lunch supervision can be optionally added per day to the full-day courses – Juniors on Skis & Teens on Skis Unlimited. You’ll receive meal voucher cards from our office, which are handed to the instructor at lunch. Includes: a main dish from the kids’ menu, a drink, dessert, and instructor supervision.
Where do the kids have lunch?
We cooperate with 5 different partner restaurants and ski huts on the Schlossalm. Depending on the group’s ability level, a suitable hut is selected — and may change daily. Not all groups eat at the same place.
What if we already booked and paid online?
Please come to our office the day before or at least 30 minutes before the course starts with your reservation/booking confirmation to collect the course ticket, safety vest, and information about the meeting point.
What if my child has allergies?
Please notify us during booking. Also, inform the ski instructor at the course start. Our partner restaurants are very flexible and will do their best to offer a suitable meal.
Can I pick up my child for lunch?
Of course! Please ask your child's instructor in the morning where lunch is planned and be on time to take over supervision during the lunch break.
Can we join a course midweek?
Group assignments usually take place on Sundays and Mondays. However, advanced skiers may join an existing group during the week. Please check with us directly.
Can I request a specific instructor for a group course?
Yes, but please make your request as early as possible by phone, email, or fax. For group courses, we cannot guarantee that your request can be fulfilled.
Can our children be in the same group?
Grouping is primarily based on skiing ability and age. If your children or friends are at a similar level, let the instructor know on the first day, and we’ll do our best. If skill levels differ, the stronger child will need to adapt to the weaker one.
Can we get a refund if our child doesn’t like it?
Refunds are only granted with a doctor’s certificate (illness, injury). However, we offer options like trial days or course extensions to minimize your risk.
What languages do the ski instructors speak?
All our instructors speak GERMAN and ENGLISH.
Many also speak other languages (Russian, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Dutch, Danish, etc.). Please note: for group courses, we cannot guarantee languages other than German and English.
